How does PARK NOW function on-street?On-street parking with PARK NOW is easy and cashless. You can start or end your parking action through the PARK NOW iOS App / Android App, via phone call or SMS.
Please note that in various cities you require a parking sticker for on-street parking. This sticker needs to be clearly visible attached behind the windscreen of your car. Download your parking sticker for free or order a self-adhesive sticker in your app.
Using the PARK NOW app and GPS localization, a zone is automatically chosen for your current location. Please always check if your automatically selected zone number is correct and adjust if necessary. You can find the zone number on a sticker / sign at the parking meter.
Please note that at the border of two zones GPS locating can be slightly incorrect. PARK NOW cannot be held responsible for any parking tickets issued due to an incorrect zone choice.
Parking via phone call is available for all customers with a registered customer account. Start or stop your on-street parking session conveniently via our park-hotline. Simply follow the voice computer, enter the desired zone number and start your parking action.

Parking via SMS is available for all customers with a registered customer account.
For starting or stopping an on-street parking action via SMS, please send the following SMS-code to:

SMS-Code start parking:
start [zone] [license plate] – Example SMS text message: “start 336007 MPN3338”
SMS-Code end parking:
stop [license plate] – Example SMS text message: “stop 336007 MPN3338”
Please note:
– For SMS parkking two sms notiifications (€ 0.15 per sms) are charged on default. The confirmations start and stop parking action cannot be disabled.
– If you use a license plate that has not been registered yet, the license plate will automatically be added to your account. Depending on the package you are currently using, a service fee is charged.
Parking by SMS is possible for all customers with a registered user account.
To start or end parking on-street via SMS, simply send the following SMS code to:

Instructions for starting a parking process via SMS:
Start [zone] [vehicle registration number]

Instructions for ending a parking process via SMS:

Important to note:
– When parking with SMS, two SMS notifications are always billed at € 0.15 each (€ 0.30 total). The confirmation for the start and stop of the parking process is preset for SMS parking and cannot be deactivated.
– If you enter a new license plate number for your SMS parking process, it will automatically be added to your user account.

The parking enforcement team is able to do real-time checks for valid parking actions for the respective license plate/vehicle.
Please note that in various cities a parking sticker is mandatory for mobile on-street parking. In these cities it is necessary to have a note with “PARK NOW Handyparken” or the parking sticker clearly visible attached to the inside of the windscreen of your car. As only cars with a parking sticker/note will be checked for a valid parking action. If nothing is attached or visible, there is the risk of receiving a parking fine.
Yes, it is also possible to park with PARK NOW for an entire day. In some cities or car parks day tickets are offered. As PARK NOW offers the same tariffs as the cities and car parks, this is also possible when you park with PARK NOW. As soon as a day ticket is cheaper than the sum of parking fees, the system automatically chooses the day ticket.
In the following cities you are required to display a parking sticker or a handwritten note mentioning “PARK NOW Handyparken” in the windshield for parking on-street:

Bad Homburg, Bad Oldesloe, Berlin, Bernkastel-Kues, Bingen, Detmold, Dortmund*, Duderstadt, Hameln, Hanau, Heidenheim, Hennigsdorf, Kiel, Köln, Lemgo, Lübeck, Mainz, Mönchengladbach, Neustadt an der Weinstraße, Oberwiesenthal, Planegg, Pöhl, Potsdam, Stolberg, Tübingen as well as P+R (Park & Ride) parkings.
*Be aware that handwritten note are not allowed in these cities:
Austria:
Bludenz, Graz, Salzburg, Zell am See

In some cities it is necessary to place a parking sticker or note clearly visible behind your vehicle’s windshield. In these cities only cars with a parking sticker/note will be checked for a valid parking session. Is no sticker or note placed, you may receive a parking fine despite of having an active parking session.
Therefore, please make sure your parking sticker is clearly visible. In most cities it is accepted to place a note with “PARK NOW Handyparken” visible behind your windscreen.

This depends and varies from parking zone to parking zone or car park to car park.
Many parking zones have a maximum parking duration, which needs to be adhered to. Once this maximum parking duration has been reached, PARK NOW will automatically end the parking action. To be reminded in time, please set your individual reminders via e-mail, sms or push notifications within your personal account.
Please make sure you are calling with the same mobile number you are registered with at PARK NOW. In case this does not resolve the issue, please contact our customer service. They are glad to help you.
In case you forget to end your parking action, the PARK NOW timer will continue running until the maximum parking duration is reached. To avoid unnecessary fees, PARK NOW offers a variety of different reminder notifications. In your personal account, you can set reminder options for sms, email or push notifications.

The delivery of your parking sticker or car park access card by post may take a few days. You can, however, use PARK NOW directly after registration for on-street parking. If you have not received your sticker or access card within one week, please contact our customer service team.
If the correct zone has been activated and – if applicable for the city – the parking sticker was clearly visible, then a parking ticket should not have been issued. In case a ticket has been issued, please check the respective parking action under the “parking history” within your personal account. If the ticket has been issued incorrectly, please contact the customer service with reference of your client ID and parking details. The customer service will investigate the case internally and get back to you as soon as possible.
You can change the license plate of your vehicle directly in the PARK NOW app. In the “Vehicles” section of your account you find your current license plate and can adjust the details there.
The guest parking function (“instant use”) is deactivated from end of July 2022. Please use the EasyPark app.
